We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Energy & Utilities Quant/Advisor to join our
team. As a quant engineer in the energy and utilities industry, you will perform quantitative
analysis and build mathematical models to forecast energy demand, supply and strategies of
efficient load balancing. You will work on models for short term and long term
pricing, improving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring reliable power supply.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to deploy these models in solutions that
provide insights/ solutions to real-world business problems. You will also be involved in
conducting experiments, building POCs and prototypes.
Key Responsibilities:
? Model Development: Lead the development of quantitative models for load
forecasting, energy production, and distribution optimization.
? Strategy Development: Develop quant-driven strategies to enhance pricing, risk
management, and trading performance.
? Team Collaboration: Collaborate with AI/ML engineers, domain experts, and
stakeholders to translate business problems into data-driven solutions.
? Market Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of the US power markets,
including regulations, business trends, and market dynamics. Collaborate with domain
experts, engineers, and stakeholders in translating business problems into data-driven
solutions in the energy domain
Required Skills and Qualifications:
? 12+ years of experience in the energy markets, with a minimum of 2 years in
developing algorithms for trading in US power markets
? Proven experience in building and maintaining models for trading and risk
management in power markets.
? Strong foundation in finance, mathematics, statistics, and machine learning.
? Deep understanding of US power market regulations, business models, and industry
trends.
? Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
? Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
? Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Qualification: Master's or PhD in Mathematics, Physics
Please note: We are looking for consultants who are based in US

Skills: Experienced energy & Utilities is a must. Algorithm, 2 years in developing algorithms for trading in US power markets
