Role Overview:
As part of our technology development team, you'll take the lead on crafting, implementing, and refining power subsystem solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop advanced power subsystems, covering both conceptual frameworks and detailed electronics design.
- Participate in in-house initiatives for power electronics development, ensuring optimised performance.
- Conduct comprehensive requirements analysis related to power systems and integration with onboard hardware.
- Manage power budgets and create dynamic parametric models for spacecraft power systems.
- Identify and address electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) challenges, proposing mitigation measures.
- Collaborate on test equipment specifications related to power systems.
- Prepare and support vendor Requests for Proposals (RFPs), evaluating responses and ensuring appropriate selections.
- Oversee external partners for delivery of critical components, ensuring quality and performance standards.
- Validate and verify system designs, preparing thorough test plans and documentation.
- Contribute to the integration and operational testing of power systems, producing technical reports.
- Provide ongoing support for spacecraft operations and mission-critical systems.
- Generate technical documentation throughout project phases, including design plans, risk assessments, and mission-specific protocols.
- Participate in customer reviews and support product development for next-gen spacecraft power systems.

Qualifications:

Essential:
- Degree in a technical field such as Electronics, Aerospace, Physics, or Power Management (BSc/MSc or equivalent).
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in power systems engineering or a related field.
- Expertise in power electronics and subsystems relevant to space applications, including DC/DC converters, solar arrays, battery regulation, and distribution systems.
- Familiarity with design and implementation phases of spacecraft engineering.
- Strong teamwork abilities and a collaborative mindset that crosses technical boundaries.
- Exceptional communication and analytical capabilities.
- Familiarity with project lifecycle phases and active participation in milestone reviews such as MDR, PDR, and CDR.

Preferred:
- Advanced knowledge of power electronics analysis, design, and testing processes.
- Understanding of motor drive systems and actuator controls.
- Hands-on experience with electronics design, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with space industry standards (e.g., ECSS, MIL) and adaptability to tailored solutions.
